Council Criticised Over Banners

Oldham Council has been criticised for allegedly “misleading” banners outside the Civic Centre. Local news website i-Royton has reported that the banners “fall short of the guidelines issued by the Advertising Standards Authority.”

Saddleworth Rogue Trader Fined

A rogue trader who advertised under the name Saddleworth Gas and Heating has been fined £400 for carrying out work while not properly registered. Lee Chadwick, of Huddersfield Road in Stalybridge, was caught by Oldham Council’s Trading Standards unit.
