A new campaign group aimed at improving Mossley station met for the first time last night. More than 30 people went along to George Lawton Hall for what was described by the event’s organiser as a “lively debate” about the problems and opportunities facing the station.

Local Book Lover To Judge National Contest

A Saddleworth resident has been chosen to help judge a national book prize. Janet Harrison, who works for Oldham Libraries encouraging parents and carers to read to and with their children, will be part of the panel for the Booktrust Early Years Award 2010.
