A local woman is raising money for charity, by wearing a different outfit every day for a year. The only condition is that Vicky Sowerby from Waterhead isn’t buying any clothes.

The government’s decision to scale back its school-building programme cost Oldham Council more than a quarter of a million pounds, Saddleworth News can reveal.

The total amount of money spent by the council and lost forever was £278,777. That includes fees paid to designers, architects, builders and consultants.
