A Dobcross resident has been left shocked and angry after his car was badly damaged outside his home after being hit by a passing vehicle that failed to stop.

The man, who does not want to be named, lives on Dobcross New Road in the village. He told Saddleworth News he was “very upset and angry” at the damage caused.

Saddleworth Parish Councillor pleads ‘not guilty’ over child images allegations

Saddleworth Parish Councillor Michael Buckley will appear in crown court in April after pleading not guilty to making and possessing indecent images of children.

Cllr Buckley, 67, from Dobcross, appeared at Oldham Magistrates Court yesterday over the allegations.

Buckley was subject to an investigation last year and a warrant was executed on his home last March.
