HUGO Still missing - £1000 reward on offer
It is almost a year since a Yorkshire Terror dog called Hugo went missing from his Saddleworth home and his heartbroken owner Kelly Teece is making a fresh appeal for any information on his whereabouts.
Hugo is a cross Yorkshire terrier and he turned three on the 17 March whilst still missing, he went missing from the saddleworth area and there were some initial sightings around Oldham & Tameside.

Pupils in Oldham have maintained high standards following the publication of today’s GCSE results.
Early indications* suggest the majority of all local schools have improved or maintained their results in gaining five grade A* to C passes (including English and maths) – despite a national sharp drop in English.
Across Oldham as a whole, 56.5 per cent of students achieved at least five of these grades.

A Saddleworth musician has been helping to raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham with a marathon guitar playing session.

Four people have been arrested in connection with a man’s death in Saddleworth.
At around 10.40am on Monday 24 February 2014, police were called to Dovestones Reservoir in Greenfield, following reports that a body had been seen.
When officers attended, supported by an underwater search team the body of 28-year-old Craig Wilcox was recovered from the water.
A post mortem examination was carried out, but the result was inconclusive.

The winners of Oldham Council’s well-received Bloom and Grow Photography Competition have been announced.
The standard was golden this year as we gained more than 700 entries over the six-week competition.
In first place – winning £200 – was a stunning photograph of Tandle Hill Country Park taken by Dan Shaw, from Shaw.

Saddleworth’s very own music festival SADD FEST will take place on 30th August.
The hugely popular event will be held at the Saddleworth Rangers ground in Greenfield.
The festival is a Saddleworth Round Table Charity Event and features bands such as The Giddy Gringos, Baked A La Ska, Anthony Kinsey and Schwing, Lauren Housley, Jonny Hick’s Juke Joint, Dubble D and more.

Whisky tasting event for Oldham Mountain Rescue Team
The Amateur Dram society is hosting a whisky tasting event at Diggle Band Club in support of the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, who celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.
