Knowsley Junior School, Springhead, will be holding a Macmillan coffee afternoon tomorrow between 1.30 and 3pm. It has been organised by Year 3 teacher Liz Sharples and Year 3 children have baked cakes and cookies. All are welcome to attend.

The Swan in Dobcross will be holding a fundraising coffee morning as part of Macmillan cancer charity’s “world’s biggest coffee morning”. Lorna Hill’s fundraising coffee morning as part of Macmillan cancer charity’s “world’s biggest coffee morning” will be held this Saturday (28th Sept) from 10am until noon. Uppermill Methodist Centre will be holding a coffee morning on 9 October from 10am – 12 noon in aid of Christian Aid. This will include a home-bake and a Fair Trade stall. Saddleworth Women’s Institute had a great weekend at the recent Saddleworth Show with fantastic weather and lots of homemade cakes donated by their lovely WI ladies. They raised £200 from the cake sale and a tombola, all of which will be donated to their charity for 2013, Oldham Bereavement Support Service. Their donation from this event and the remainder of 2013 will be used to train new counsellors and volunteers for their Child Grief Team who support an ever increasing […]
