It’s one of the most colourful and enjoyable weekends of the summer, the Yanks Are Back In Saddleworth festival.
If you take any good photos that you’d like to share with Saddleworth News readers, please do send them in!
You can e-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, if you’re on Twitter, you can post them to @saddleworthnews. I’ll publish them on the website next week.
Complete details of all the many events taking place are available in leaflets at shops and pubs across Saddleworth, as well as at the Tourist Information centre in Uppermill. But you can get an overview by visiting the Yanks website here.
It’s the tenth anniversary of the festival, which first took place in 2001. It’s inspired by the filming of the wartime movie Yanks on location in Dobcross back in 1978.
