Local Unemployment Up By More Than 10%

Unemployment in the Oldham East and Saddleworth constituency has increased by more than 10% over the past year.

According to figures compiled by Commons officials in Westminster and revealed by local MP Debbie Abrahams, there were 3,131 people out of work and claiming benefit in July, a rise of 297 on July 2010.
