Oldham Bereavement Support Service have been presented with a cheque for £2,000 by Saddleworth Women’s Institute.

The cheque was handed over at a presentation in January at the Saddleworth Hotel.

On Wednesday 6 November, Saddleworth Women’s Institute held their first Christmas Market at the Saddleworth Hotel. There were over 30 stalls offering a huge variety and selection of crafts, jewellery, handbags, handmade mirrors, clothing, candles, festive confectionery, jams and speciality foods to name but a few.

On Wednesday 6 November, Saddleworth Women’s Institute will be hosting a fantastic festive shopping evening at the Saddleworth Hotel.

There will be over 20 stalls offering a huge variety and selection of crafts, jewellery, handbags, handmade mirrors, clothing, candles, festive confectionery, jams and speciality foods to name but a few.

Saddleworth Women’s Institute forthcoming events

Saddleworth Women’s Institute had a great weekend at the recent Saddleworth Show with fantastic weather and lots of homemade cakes donated by their lovely WI ladies.

They raised £200 from the cake sale and a tombola, all of which will be donated to their charity for 2013, Oldham Bereavement Support Service.

The wedding of Wendy Charnley and Chris Garforth took place at the Saddleworth Hotel on 28 August 2011. The bride, daughter of the late Norman and Frances Charnley, and the groom, son of Keith and Bertha Garforth, held the reception at the Saddleworth Hotel before honeymooning in South Africa and Mauritius.

Last Few Tickets For WI Charity Fundraiser

The Saddleworth WI’s charity fundraising summer party takes place this Friday at the Saddleworth Hotel. And there are still a few tickets going for the event, which has an Indian theme.

Saddleworth WI Plans Charity Fundraiser

The Saddleworth Women’s Institute is selling tickets for its latest big charity fundraiser. The Indian Summer Party will take place on 24 September at the Saddleworth Hotel on Huddersfield Road.

As always with the WI, local charities will benefit, with proceeds being split between the Dr Kershaw’s and Willow Wood hospices, and the Saddleworth Village Olympics.
