Oldham East and Saddleworth MP, Debbie Abrahams, has spoken up for Saddleworth’s rail commuters in the House of Commons describing them as being like ‘sardines in a can’ during their daily commute.

Appeal For Train Users To Share Experiences

Members of the recently-formed Stalybridge Huddersfield Rail Users Group (SHRUG) are keen to hear from local people who use the Huddersfield Line.

With Northern Rail’s operation of the franchise up for renewal in 2013, submissions about it have to made next year. SHRUG wants evidence from train users as it works out what it should feature in its own report as part of the process.
