Think you don’t like Gin?

Diggle school PTA have organised a fabulous Gin tasting evening to raise funds for Diggle School. Its hosted by ‘The Gin Lab’. It’s October 13th, Kiln Green hall, Diggle. The tickets are £25 and include 4 premium G&Ts, nibbles, games and a raffle.

The bar will be open afterwards too!

Saddleworth Musical Society present cheque to Dr Kershaws

December 11 2016 saw Saddleworth Musical Society perform their annual Christmas concert, featuring the children of Diggle school choir.

This annual performance raises monies for selected charities which this year was Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

The total sum raised was £1000.00 and here we see Gerard Marsden from Saddleworth Musical Society present the cheque to Joanne Sloan from Dr Kershaw’s, ably assisted by, Grace Wallace, Martha King, Thomas Wallace and Toby King from Diggle school.

Extra Government Money For Saddleworth Schools

Details of more cash for schools in Saddleworth have been announced by the government.

Several of our local schools will be receiving part of an extra £4.2m being shared out among schools across Oldham borough, to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Diggle Roadworks Rearranged Because Of Summer Events

Huddersfield Road, Diggle

Two days of resurfacing on Huddersfield Road in Diggle have been put off until mid-July, to avoid disruption during the Diggle Blues Festival and Diggle School Fete.

White Hart Hosts Diggle School May Ball

Diggle School’s May Ball took place at the White Hart in Lydgate on Saturday night. It was put on by the PTA to raise funds for the school.

The event itself was organised by committee members Clair Butterworth and Anna Barnes, and the Chair of the committee is Jo Taylor. Jo is overseeing their next event, the Diggle Fete in July, along with Liz Redfearne. For more information about that, contact Jo on 07899 796616.
