A new monthly comedy night begins in Mossley this Friday evening. It’s being organised by Rob Riley, who already runs the successful Off The Rails night at the Royal George in Greenfield.

The new event takes place at Mossley AFC’s Social Club. There are three live comedians and an MC on the bill for this Friday. Doors open at 8pm with the show beginning at 8:30pm.

There’s an Easter special version of the Off The Rails comedy night in Greenfield this Sunday evening.

Rising Geordie stand-up Jason Cook headlines the bill. A former Merchant Navy man, since turning to comedy he’s won accolades including Best International Show at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

Also appearing will be Leigh’s Mike Wilkinson, Adam Staunton from Liverpool, and local comedian James Beck. The evening will be hosted by Oldham’s Mick Ferry.
