The Saddleworth Group of Artists opened their exhibition to the public last night at the Saddleworth Museum.
A warm welcome and a glass of wine was much enjoyed as Saddleworth News chatted with the artists and viewed their work. It’s amazing to see the variety of the paintings and ceramics on show, great to talk with those that had produced them and to hear the stories behind the work. A couple of the artists remember Saddleworth News’s former Editor, Stuart Littleford, from teaching him at school.
Perhaps you’ll recognise one of the sitters for Philip Hughes’ portrait, a well known cheery face from the village.
