Diggle Day Nursery present a cheque to the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund

Reporter: Stuart Littleford

Diggle Day Nursery and Education Centre last Friday presented a cheque for £1,400 to the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund following their recent ‘Fun Day’ fundraising event.

The nursery, based in Diggle, raised the money through a variety of attractions including a raffle, tombola, Donkey rides and Stalls.

Bounce about Castles in Lees kindly donated half their profits on the day, as did Wayne Rawstrone of the Dysarts Arms Pub in Mossley, who despite the weather still managed to provide visitors with a great spread of food. The nursery also thanked local businesses who donated raffle prizes.

Stacey Hesford, told Saddleworth News: “Overall this was an absolutely fantastic day, regardless of the weather, supported by our wonderful families, staff and local public to help raise money for an amazing cause. Want to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making it a huge success.”
