‘C’est Chic’ fashion and vintage sale hosted by Emmaus Mossley

Saddleworth NewsBargain hunters and vintage lovers are in for a treat at an upcoming special sale evening at homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley.

The ‘C’est Chic – Emmaus Fashion & Vintage Evening’ will take place on Thursday 16 November from 6pm at Longlands Mill in Mossley. The charity sale will include unique displays of preloved fashion, vintage items and great value gifts.

All the money raised from the event will go towards supporting the community of formerly homeless people who live and work at Emmaus Mossley.Saddleworth News

Gary Barton, companion at Emmaus Mossley, told Saddleworth News: “These evening events are always a great success and enjoyed equally by our customers, companions, volunteers and staff alike. This one in particular, in the run up to Christmas, should be especially good as we have lots of great items that will appeal to all ages and tastes.”

The ‘C’est Chic’ evening is the final celebration event in Emmaus Mossley’s 20th anniversary year. Companions, staff and volunteers at the charity will handpick the best items and create unique displays to show off the best of what Emmaus Mossley has to offer.

Hazel Hodkinson, Retail Manager at Emmaus Mossley, told Saddleworth News: “On the night we’ll have plenty of party dresses, men’s suits, vintage clothing, hats, shoes and accessories. If you’re looking for those unique and quirky presents then Emmaus is the place for those original vintage gifts. Start your Christmas shopping early and join us for an evening of fun, frivolity and fab vintage finds.”

At the upcoming sale evening, Emmaus will open their special Collectables Room, Lucie’s Café will serve a selection of food, drinks and cakes and a guest DJ will be spinning a wide variety of retro sounds.

Emmaus Mossley supports 26 formerly homeless people by providing them with a home and work in a community setting. The charity runs a social enterprise at Longlands Mill in Mossley, selling donated, refurbished and upcycled furniture, household goods, vintage wares, clothes, vinyl, books and bric-a-brac.
