A local blues band enjoyed their recent gig at the Shambles in Dobcross so much, they’re coming back for more. The 219 Blues Band, with members from Rochdale, Bury and Bolton, and with family ties to Saddleworth, will be back at the pub on 11 September at 9pm.

The last tickets are being sold for the charity brass band concert in aid of Help For Heroes taking place at the Civic Hall in Uppermill on 3 July, that’s a week on Saturday. They cost £10 each.

A charity concert has been organised for Saturday 26 June at Diggle Band Club. Proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
