Tributes To Two Local Dignitaries

Two leading figures of the Saddleworth community have died. Yesterday’s Chronicle carried the news of the death of John Edwards from Greenfield, who was the Chairman of Oldham Mountain Rescue. There was also a report on the funeral of Howard Crowther, who farmed land above Dove Stone Reservoir.

“Meet The Ancestors” In Delph

There have been celebrations this week in both Mossley and Ilkley, as two people with links to our area turned 100.
