Prof Brian Cox (picture: University of Manchester) Saddleworth-based astronomy expert Prof Brian Cox was given the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours over the weekend. Prof Cox, who’s originally from Oldham and now lives in Grasscroft, has described it as a “wonderful accolade.” He presented high-profile BBC series Wonders Of The Solar System earlier this year.
